JOHN HOLMAN

Founder and Managing Partner

John Holman is Founder and Managing Partner of Madison Heights. John is deeply experienced in structuring tailored capital solutions for fintechs, specialty finance companies, and other high-growth businesses with financeable assets. He has been an active investor and advisor in both the U.S. and Latin America and brings over 14 years of transaction experience spanning private markets investing, investment banking, and law.

Prior to founding Madison Heights, John was a Partner at Architect Capital, an asset-based private credit fund where he co-led the firm’s investment activities and strategic initiatives. Architect’s investment strategy involved structuring bespoke private credit and structured equity solutions to deliver flexible capital to tech companies. Prior to Architect, John was a Principal at Victory Park Capital, a global alternative asset manager, where he invested across the capital structure in emerging to established companies seeking structured capital and in companies with asset-intensive business models. Before joining Victory Park, John was an investment banker in Houlihan Lokey’s Special Situations & Financial Restructuring Group, advising on distressed recapitalization and M&A transactions in and out of court. John began his career as an attorney at Latham & Watkins, where he advised parties of all types on special situations, restructurings, and Chapter 11 reorganizations.

John currently serves on the board of Synergy Academies, a non-profit charter school operator focused on delivering high-quality education to students across elementary, middle, and high schools in South Los Angeles. John holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California, where he graduated Order of the Coif. He earned his B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude.
